Miracle Prayers
The Strong Being Pushed

The Story

Time after time I have found stories that relate to a small group of people pushing most of the American people aside. The story I bring you today is no different. In DeSoto County, Miss pre-game football prayers over the speakers has been stopped by the Freedom from Religion Foundation.

The Point

Freedom from Religion Foundation might seem like a big group fighting prayers and taking action all the way to the Supreme Court, true. But aren’t we as Christians more in number. And taking that I am only talking about Christians in the United States, imagine all over the world. There is dozens of organizations that say they support Christian values. Yet, where are these organizations when these athiest groups shove back.

The Denial

It is easy to see that we as Christians have stopped believing in God like we should. We are giving room to the anti-Christ movement. The anti-Christ doesn’t necessarily mean a man in dark cloths, it can be a system that goes against anything that Christians represent. What are we doing about it. Nothing. Yes, I admit some still pray and even fast for this country. But overall there is many that don’t. There is even few that could care less. First they take away prayers in public places so what’s next?

I ask you to think about this. The Freedom from Religion Foundation’s goal is to stop any form of prayers through out schools. Where are our foundations trying to stop them. They claim it on a freedom of religion that they don’t want prayers, well aren’t they stopping our freedom as well.

Wrong Turn

I believe it is time to get on our knees and pray for this country and its leaders.

We have been seeing and hearing news stories from all around the world of corruption, riots, and conflicts. We are feared now with another economical recession (even though I believe Christians can thrive through those things). Now judges have begun to strike down religious freedom.

Hitting closer to home, judges in Illinois ruled that Catholic Charities could not preserve foster care and adoption programs with the state. Personally I am a Pentecostal Christian, and don’t tend to agree much with Roman Catholic beliefs. Yet, what they stood for here is something i fully support.

The wrong turn is that because Catholic Charities would not refine its same sex adoption policy the state of Illinois has refused in renewing their contracts. A judge has upheld the decision by the state stating that the state could renew and give out any contracts to whomever they please.

What is really happening here though? Religious freedom is being shut out. Let me go further Christian freedom and beliefs are being shut out. Even though the question wasn’t addressed directly it does have to do alot with beliefs. From my understanding in that state is that religious organizations are exempt from the same sex civil union laws. Unfortunately, I have no idea how strongly religious organizations are exempt from such laws.

What I do know is that it is most likely that Catholic Charities will fight this in court again at the circuit level on the bases of religious freedom. So let us pray that these judges receive their knowledge from God. If Catholic Charities is struck down on the basis of religious freedom at the circuit level it will most likely go to the Supreme Court and if struck down there, than our ministers, pastors, and priests must obey any same sex marriage law.

Again, let us pray before we take the wrong turn!

Faith 365 Episode 3 Podcast

Very late on this episode 3 of Faith 365 but just on time. Up now.

Faith of the Wise

Very proud of my first official episode. I know i count this as episode 2 but the first was just an intro stay tune for more tomorow Ep 3.

Untitled

I was reading through articles and found this incredibly ridiculous article about Bert and Ernie from Sesame Street being gay.

The article itself wasn’t what I found ridiculous it was the push the article mentioned to make Bert and Ernie gay.

Now I know that the new marriage laws from New York will open up many doors for gay rights groups. It is said that once the door in New York is open many other states will follow. I only pray it is not the case. I’m an old school guy at heart. I’m also Christian. So I truly believe in the marriage between man and woman.

Getting to the article though, I find it a very ill push by any group to try and force young toddlers (because it is mostly toddlers) to any kind of sexual mentality. Those toddlers shouldn’t be watching any kind of scenes like that. Whether it be homosexual orientation or not. Those toddlers should be learning valuable lessons on how to treat each other instead.

It seems the Church stays quite for most of these things. We have so much technology at our disposal and we use it so wrongly. In the other hands groups that go against everything we believe in are gaining the advantage because they are organized.

I thank God that the Sesame Street executives also thought like me. They released this statement “Bert and Ernie are best friends,” producers said on the Sesame Workshop Facebook page. “They were created to teach preschoolers that people can be good friends with those who are very different from themselves.”

There are only a handful of television programs that would have said no to pressure like that.

Lack of Power from the Church
Howard Shultz CEO of Starbucks cancelled an appearance at Willow Creek Community Church after he recieved tons of pressure from gay rights groups.
Now I find this interesting not because of the power of the gay rights groups but instead because of the lack of power from the church.
Not just that specific church im talking about our entire churches.
Where has our authority gone. I believe we have done two things we have been comforted by yhe world and two we have stopped seeking God.
We lack power because we lack God.
I dont black Willow Creek at all, its our entire church body.

Breaking Down Walls for Woman Too

Today I heard a wonderful sermon by our co-pastor. It was very impacting. Our co-pastor talked how everyone is really busy to enjoy their own family. It’s very true our motives, as wonderful as we might think they are, have really gave room for our adversary to come and destroy the foundation of the family. According to his statistics 7 out of 10 people divorce.

I really agree with the sermon as a whole. I do think that this society has us rushing towards material things and we are losing our family in the process.

I agree.

Yet, he came to the point of woman having to be the stay home house keeper in order for a family to work.

This I do not agree with.

You see, I see a generation that is being educated now. God has allowed many opportunites for woman to advance in this society. I believe that no matter who goes to work man or woman or both should be held equally responsible for the structure of the family. It says in Proverbs that the wise woman build her home. Yes, there can be many interpertations, such as the one my co-pastor took, to stay home.

I believe in my heart that Jesus came to tear down those walls that were oppressing woman. Such as the story of the Samarian woman and Jesus. First, she was a woman second she was Samarian, the Jewish teachers would never talk to a Samarian with respect much less if she was a woman.

A house isn’t build with one person it is build with the wife and husband if they are still able too. Returning to the Proverbs verse. Perhaps this scripture is written to inspire woman to look God in wisdom and to conquer that secular wisdom as well, while she does, she is actually helping her home.

I believe that God blesses those that love Him. Both man and woman. Educated or not. Man should be providers but if woman for a reason or another decide to work, I believe that is okay. Yet, both should not forget about firstly their marriage and secondly their family. Have time for each other. Don’t bring work home. Instead take home to work. Have them on your mind.

North Korean Christians

Story recollects about the struggles of North Korean people and how many have called for prayer as the move of powers from Kim Jong II to his son are about to take place.

People are oppressed in North Korea. They are placed in jail for having dreams. They are placed in jail for believing in something better. As people from a free country let’s not take for granted on how much God has blessed us. We are, for the most part, free to choose our own religion and worship.

North Korean people don’t have that luxury. Let’s pray for freedom in that country. Let’s pray for a change of heart among it’s leaders. Nothing is too great for our God. Let’s remember our Christian brothers and sisters there. They don’t have freedom to worship.
